Recipes: Boozy Pandan Cold Brew

Part of our collaboration with The Bywater, was working with their bar manager, Darren to come up with a signature cocktail that embodies the Tiki Collective. After talking through flavors and ingredients, we came to one conclusion. It had to have cold brew! For those of you who know us, the one thing we love more than a good tiki drink is a great cup of coffee.

Lucky for us, The Bywater has cold brew on tap! And it just so happens to be our very favorite coffee roaster, Verve !

The second main ingredient we locked down was a Pandan syrup. What is Pandan? It’s a tropical plant that grows bright green leaves, which can be used for cooking and baking. The leaves are naturally sweet which is why it’s often used in many Southeast-Asian dishes. You can find all different kinds of Pandan flavors and extracts on Amazon or your local asian grocery.

Put the two together and you get a bold and sweet drink like no other!

And don’t worry, if you didn’t make it out to last months Tiki Island Disco to try it, you can make it at home with the official recipe below. You can buy Verve’s Nitro Flash Brew in select stores or any of their locations. If not, you can also use any cold brew coffee of your choice.

Combine ingredients and shake with one shotgun cube, double strain into glass over one shotgun cube, and garnish with a lime twist. The Bywater bar used a footed highball, but at home anything goes!
