Tiki Tuesday: Tangaroa Terrace
/Last weekend we made yet another trip to Disneyland! But before we entered the park, we decided to order brunch from a little tropical bar and grill right smack in the heart of the Disneyland Resort. We'd heard rumors about the exotic menu at Tangaroa Terrace and honestly, we couldn't resist the siren call of a brunch adventure.
The moment we stepped into Tangaroa Terrace, we were transported to a world enchantment that was undeniably Disney. It was a magical blend of whimsy and authenticity, showcasing Disney's unparalleled ability to transform a dining experience into an immersive adventure.
Now, about that menu. We had some tough decisions to make, but in the end, we decided to go big with two of their star players: the Loco Moco Burrito and the Tangaroa Toast.
Loco Moco Burrito? It’s exactly what you think it is – juicy hamburger patty, rich gravy, and an egg with a perfectly jammy yolk. Overall really great, but it definitely could have used a little more gravy in our opinion.
But let me tell you, the real show-stealer was the Tangaroa Toast. Made with brick Toast, citrus custard, guava syrup, topped with whipped cream and toasted coconut, and served with a side of bacon. Crunchy, soft, sweet, and fruity. We couldn't get enough of it. Highly recommend!
Unfortunately, the bar wasn't open yet, so we missed out on the full experience, but we're already planning our return to sample the lunch menu and savor some of those tropical libations. This spontaneous visit turned out to be a great first experience, and we can't wait to come back for more! So, if you're in the mood for a quite brunch that's sure to delight your taste buds, Tangaroa Terrace is the place to go!
